Decent work culture, weekends are sacrosanct and rarely does work exceed work hours.

As a consultant - you are not considered an employee and there's a stark class system in place. Coworkers who are employees wont treat you differently but HR policies and Company Policies will. Few examples of treatment listed here - Half the employees are hired as consultants so they can avoid giving you any benefits. Your id card will say "passer by" even if you've been passing by the office daily for a year. The process to get salary involves sending them an updated invoice every month, then pinging the bill desk team twice a week for two or three weeks before they actually pay you. If you do not irritate them with weekly e-mails, they will pay you after a month or more. The cafeteria is not big enough for the amount if people who eat there and the food is not good. The subsidy is good though. The laptop they give are Terrible and you will have to switch atleast once to get a decent machine. Salaries are awful and frankly insulting when the persons background is taken into context. They simply get by with the brand name. Work is slow and the process to get anything done takes ages as approval from everyone in the hierarchy is required even when irrelevant to them. The teams all believe their work is more important than every other department in the company and will respond slowly to other teams, sometimes they will never respond so you have to ambush them at their desk to get a 2 minute job done....Read More

The work culture is good overall. Upper management is clued into industry trends.

Although company culture is great a lot depends on your manager. Unfortunately our manager thought he was doing us a favor by employing us during COVID and believed even weekend holidays had to be earnt. Politics is rife in the organisation and hierarchy is strong. Subordinates work to please seniors rather than towards goals and objectives.

The team leaders are excellent, I worked in the SonyLIV mera department for 1 and a half years. Appraisals were meagrely and work life balance was non-existent. The company refused to hire appropriate resources which just put pressure on the employees

Work life balance is something that needs to be improved on. The processes carried out are way too slow and dealing with the finance team for a delay in salary has become a monthly event.

During major events we would work upto 12-13 hours a day. Otherwise I worked 10 hours a day regularly, which doesn’t leave too much time for a health work life balance
