Work culture is certainly better compared to a lot of Tier-1 law firms. Opinions and grievances are heard and addressed fairly quickly. Meritocratic hierarchy. Hybrid work policy. Emphasis on autonomy and good client interaction.

Dislikes

Payband is certainly on the lower end amongst Tier-1 law firms despite same levels of workload and clientele quality and client commitment. Retainer revenues are primarily locked-up at management level. Specialized teams not given their due. Skewered management priorities.

Then there's Aaksha Jani and Shalin Jani, who follow her lead like loyal sidekicks. My reporting manager, Manita Doshi, deserves a special mention for her remarkable ability to vanish when support is needed. Curious about your concerns? Don’t bother she’s too busy to care, except when she steps out of her cabin to publicly humiliate you over trivial mistakes. But the real gems are the self-declared "veterans" who've been warming seats for 12 years. Prateek Mewada, the IT guy, is a true multitasker, he juggles cracking tasteless jokes, scrolling through YouTube, and napping in the VC room (with a pillow, no less) as if it’s part of his job description. Meanwhile, Sandip Nayak, the so-called clerk, picks up where Prateek leaves off another proud sleeper with a loud voice and zero professionalism. Then there's Vishal Shah, the accountant who’s more interested in his divorce proceedings than actually doing his job. Ask for training? He’ll rush through it like he’s narrating a race commentary and later claim he’s trained you “multiple times” even if you’ve never had a proper session with him. Phalguni, the receptionist, completes this dysfunctional squad, a sweet talker who masterfully plays the role of an office spy, ensuring your every move (even permitted breaks) reaches the higher-ups. The best part? Despite all this drama, HR in Delhi remains blissfully clueless, and the security cameras that capture these lazy naps and extended breaks may as well be decorative pieces.
