Poor leadership, mentorship and no guidance (as people in leadership positions do not have specialized training and experience in research or mental health), unnecessary micromanagement (to show that they are contributing to the ongoing work), bias, favouritism, discrimination (same organizational rules apply differently to different people, they only listen and support to the staff who do not ask questions and do what they ask- basically who does buttering), toxic and noisy workplace environment (office is in a residential area, in Kolar road area from where it is hard to get a cab or auto) and poor quality of research (as people with no specialized training in research). Not a place to work for progressive women as gender disparity is significantly visible and no females in leadership positions. Poor staff benefits, including annual increments (only a 5% annual increment), leave (no sick and casual leaves, only 24-30 (non) paid leaves and eight national holidays), and group insurance with a limited amount. No job security (they will ask you to write your research proposals and get the funding to get paid your salary despite not being trained or qualified to do so) as most of the positions are project based. No respect and value towards the staff. (They pay between 18-25k to junior staff. Most of the time, junior team members are worried about meeting their financial needs, tight timelines, work after office hours and on weekends, which clearly indicates a poor work-life balance and burnout....Read More
