REC-PDCL appoints engineers on contractual basis for a term of 4.5 years,it may extended if project is available. Top management is gentle and professional. Most of the time, engineers have to work with Officers of Discom for RE projects,which helps them to get lots of technical knowledge. Sometimes, many engineers get the chance towork in Discom HQ for project purposes, that's an another opportunity to gather the knowledge of technical,administrative and financial parts of the project. Posting are generally remote posting,so, engineers get the chance to observe the various social issues, geographical issues and moreover, get the chance to learn about different cultures of different places, localities,which helps new comers to develop their communication skills, management skills,good knowledge on various social issues,geographical knowledge.But as it's on contractual basis,so, that's a risk. Otherwise,its Ok to join after passing out. Most of the times, review meetings and progress meetings are chaired by Top officers of REC Ltd and Top Central Government Officers,which helps engineers learn many new things.
