I have learnt to be independent in its truest sense. I am expected to act rather than be told to do things. It is expected of me to write for journals and to discuss nuances of sections, rules, notifications etc. Overall the learning is full time. This place means business and no lax behavior is tolerated making an individual a true professional.

Dislikes

I have learnt to be true to myself and to my profession. I have learnt the difference between construing a statute and interpreting a statute. The legal nuances that I have been able to pick up here are not parallel. The only thing is that because it is a new firm the pay is not on par with established firms. However, the work compensates for everything else.

Work Details

My work entails, re-search, drafting of replies, opinions, books, petitions, articles and also presenting them before various authorities.

Work days: Monday to Saturday (Strict Timings)

Work related travel: This job involves Travel Within Country.

Likes

I live the fact that I now know the difference between interpretation and construction of statute. My work entails application if my grey cells to the letter and spirit of law. The discussions that take place at office leave me with much more understanding than what i had when entered into the discussion.

Dislikes

The firm expects 8 uninterrupted work and if there is no slack on this aspect.
