Possibly everything else. Few undeserving puppets in higher management pull the strings. Phreesia dictates and they obey without question or delay. They have no sense of ownership towards their team and there is no clear policy on performance management or promotions. Everything depends on what their so-called partner (read as client/master) thinks. Whatever Phreesia says becomes law and Rayden becomes the enforcer. Indian employees are treated terribly compared to employees at Phreesia and they are rapidly losing good talent for same reason. Good performers leave for better opportunities after some time and bad performers (read those not liked by Phreesia) really don't stand a chance since they get stabbed from both sides. If they still survive, they are harassed until they give up and leave. Pathetic management right from leadership level. It is WFH. This is the best part about this company.
The work environment is extremely toxic, to the point where the word 'toxic' feels inadequate. This hostile atmosphere is largely due to one senior manager who has fostered a culture of insincerity and favoritism. She expects employees to constantly engage in superficial pleasantries like asking, "How are you?" or "Where are you?" and rewards those who do so with growth opportunities and promotions. My team leader, who is clearly unqualified and lacks any real knowledge about the process or team management, holds her position solely due to this manager's influence. Recently, my team leader has even started training another employee in the art of flattery, instructing her on how to butter up the manager to secure promotions. Consequently, this employee has also begun engaging in the same superficial behavior to gain favor. This is the worst work environment I have ever encountered in my entire career. Promotions are clearly biased, with no men being promoted and only women who engage in this sycophantic behavior being given opportunities. New hires are being fast-tracked ahead of more experienced employees simply because they excel at this ingratiating behavior. Remote and the pay, nothing else. The owners and management on the Indian side run a fascade claiming to be the happiest and growing company in the world. Don't fall for this trap, a manager who left told me that they paid to get GPTW certified.
They talk about a partnership but are running a poorly managed BPO which is being head-hunted by North Americans who keep changing their business processes every 3 weeks
