They disguise freelancers. They promise to give good amount as compared to others in the industry but fail to provide enough work to the freelancers to earn. Communication is pathetic...there is literally no manager or lead is allotted to the freelancers..so that they can reach the concerned person for ant query or problem. Delay inpayment...it took 2 months to release the payment of three articles. Over the course of 6months they allotted just 3 articles. Not a promising company to work with....Read More

The best thing about Pepper is there is no office culture or politics you have to face. The only thing is convenience and freelance work type if you want to work can work if you don't want just stop doing. They will pay only when you will work.

The list is endless 1. They offer you a particular pay rate like ₹1.2 per word but in reality they give you ₹0.8 per word. 2. All are freelance position so there is no security. 3. The worst part is they give the money almost after 45 days officially (in 2023). There is no guarantee that even you will get the money because even after client approve they put in on hold for unlimited times and thus I lost 94K. This is of a total of three months money. There is no point of contact and the issues remain unresolved for months. It feels like one is talking to a bot with an expected sort of responses. The payment cycle is after 45 days and the writer only gets paid if the client approves the content within the cycle. The payment is uneven and they manipulate the prices. When I joined Pepper Content about two years ago, they were a very good brand. They use to provide assignments on time, the work was reviewed and submitted to the client on time, who in turn approved it within 1 month of submission. Hence, the payments also came within the window. The management back then was quite good.

Dislikes

Since the start of 2023, the company has provided poor support to the writers and editors. First, the client can request as many edits as required so the work gets stuck in revision cycles. Then, there's no time limit on when the client should approve. I have assignments that were submitted 3 months ago but the client has not approved so I haven't gotten paid. You have to constantly contact them for updates and even then you get limited information....Read More

Payment admin is a huge hassle. Outstanding payments for months. I'm still waiting to be paid for work done in december of last year. The staff goes awol as soon as you ask about payment or even mention it. Also they say freelance but they require your attention constantly. You're not free to do your work at your own pace. 100s of groups constantly pinging. It's better to have a full time job here than work as a freelancer. No security of job whatsoever....Read More

I think the only thing I can say I like is the choice of brands and companies I get to create content for through them.

Dislikes

They are unprofessional in plenty of ways: - they don't respond to writers' queries on time, after assigning deadlines to projects - their editors are less qualified and less efficient than the writers. - they don't take any feedback constructively from writers, thus working in a one dimensional setting only serving 1 purpose which is their own. - their rating systems are set to take a writer down, with absolutely no consideration of the quality of briefs and support they provide as an agency....Read More
