Need advice on choosing the profile

I'm working for procurement now, aiming to boost my career growth in terms of financial and grades. I'm inclined towards project manager or business development (looking at few of the professionals having good aspects in the above mentioned). Should I change my domain to project management role or continue in procurement ? By changing the jobs, can we increase our salaries just like IT folks do ? It highly depend on team and manager under which you are working. Post covid, lot of layoff and restructuring has left the firm with only specific resources and management who see a growth and job security opportunity at the expense of team and their work life balance without providing much effort from their end

mainly work life balance and salary. Initially company provided many good benefits for employees but later some cheap employees doing cheap tricks then company started cost cutting. Otherwise, a very good organization. Only one bad thing is lay off's - not sure when they announce lay off

No job security. Frequent leadership change. No QA Team , Developer has to take their own responsibility to test their features and deploy in live. Previously work life balance is so goodbut now a days, support team is also getting removed and the developers are forced to do the oncall support along with the regular work even if you have concerns.
