Notice period, early join

My current company notice period is two months 23-Dec-2024 to 20-feb-2024. But my new employer asking for early join ie 3rd of feb! I requested for early relieve to My current employer. Verbally they agreed to relieve two weeks early but now they not ready to relieve early. They want me to complete two months notice period. My new employer asking to join early! What can I do? People and Managers are generally chill. There's no yelling on your face.

They shifted the entire Head Office without consulting the employees. Employees were left to leave the company on the spot, or survive the inflated prices of a new city. There was also a mass purge recently. Many employees were laid off. At one point, an entire Department was told to not come from next day.
