Job security has nothing to do with how good you are at work, so, even if you are not good at work, don't worry there are other things that matter. Majority of the staff is unprofessional, more engrossed in personal life of others, so, you end up ignoring your personal life to know about other colleagues' personal lives because that is a mandate for growth. Being selfish is a requirement because if you work for the team, your efforts will be ignored and you will tagged to be unprofessional if you try helping fellow colleagues in their office work. The management is another level, will appreciate verbally or through emails but never expect appreciation during appraisals or promotions and just remember that you were profusely appreciated verbally and through emails which is all that should matter to you in the end. My manager at PAREXEL was a gem of a person and I enjoyed working here. This is a huge organization and there different people with different managerial styles. I was happy with my managers. Had a good work life balance and wonderful learning and understanding of assigned jobs and tasks. Parexel has all the systems set up so you don't need to recreate anything. Just follow them. Has good transport and food facilities which are free. Has flexibility of timings and even wfh was based on my choice. Again depends on the manager. Hikes on salary were very less, specially to our team. There were a few teams who received good hikes. Employee engagement activities are very less. Only a annual day once in a year is the only celebration. Being a huge organization you play a negligible role. Promotions and growth in our team was very rare. Depends on your team again.
