Notice period, early join

My current company notice period is two months 23-Dec-2024 to 20-feb-2024. But my new employer asking for early join ie 3rd of feb! I requested for early relieve to My current employer. Verbally they agreed to relieve two weeks early but now they not ready to relieve early. They want me to complete two months notice period. My new employer asking to join early! What can I do? Very political company There are some employees who are working from last 8-10 years in he same company with same positions , they do politics and do not let me new people settle in. No HR policies , nothing. They can fire anyone at anytime , attrition rate over here is extremely high.
