My manager and manager's manager were clueless about the work, and they did not understand a bit about my contribution. So, in a way no-one bothered to ask me the details as they did not get a clue of the work.

I was working with a manager who clearly faked his CV into the system. Faking is one thing, but the IQ of the person matched that of a Mickey Mouse doll. I would not even have hired this kind of people under me. And I was forced to work under such people. Clueless leadership and all fake publicity about the struggling company. The company chaos is beyond measure. A lot of partiality towards US people and some with domain knowledge in insurance trying to understand deep tech products and be in the leadership role. Very hopless reruitments in the last one year and this shows the direction the company is tending towards. Any day, I would run away from such a firm. Work-life balance - For those seeking a tranquil work environment, it is advisable to consider departments other than R&D, as the product is still in the research and development phase. 3. Promotion & Hike - Without an HR policy, promotions and salary increases are not based on merit or performance. Those who are favored by their superiors and adept at agreeing with them may receive rapid and multiple promotions. 4. R&R - In the absence of a clear policy, diligent employees may find themselves burdened with additional work.
