FREEDOM TO WORK SOLO. THE COMPANY IS OPEN TO INNOVATION AND READILY ADOPTS LATEAST TECHNOLOGY. I HAVE WORKED IN CORPORATE ENGG DEPARTMENT HANDLING VARIOUS LEECT PACKAGES AND ELECTRICSLS OF MECH PACKAGES OF SMALL POWER PLANT (210 MW) TO LARGE POWER PLANTS (800 MW). ASA RESULT I HAVE TRAVELLED JAPAN AND BANGLADESH (660 MW MAITRI PROJECT).

The vast divesrsity one is able to work on in the Business Development dept. is really mind blowing. With 100% job security ( unless one is caught for fraud or other criminal offences), the job in NTPC is quite pleasung and enjoyable at the same time apart from the fact that the threat of transfer to some remote location and some totally unrelated field always looms over ones head.

Dislikes

The lack of decision making and that the Management is totally system driven even at the cost of growth or betterment of the organization, is highly unsettling for a qualified employee
