It is secured. You get some Central Govt. benefits. Safe for ladies as it's all within the campus. Salary is satisfactory.

1. There is no fixed work hour. Sunday's are not completely off. 2. Worst thing is if you are given House Charge you are/ will be held responsible for any untoward incident related to the house n inmates. You have to be vigilant 24*7. 3. Multi-tasking for works not in your preview 4. Escorting students from one place to another forvarious meets which is very risky and where you are again solely responsible for the safety and security of the students 5. Many central govt benefits are not applicable. Where benefit or welfare of employees are concerned NVS will not follow Central Govt rules but apply it's autonomous rules. 6. JNVs are located in very remote places deprived of many basic facilities. 7. No professional growth. LDE n departmental promotions are very very slow. 8.
