Being a Market Infrastructure Institution, NSDL offers a good job security. The work life balance is good but that again depends on the department you are working under. The roles that the company offers are very different and not much relevant to the industry and as such working here wont make a significant difference to your carrier since there are only two such Depositories in India (NSDL & CDSL). The company doesnt offer much growth prospects even if you are outstanding in your work and talent and skills are not appreciated and ratings would largely depend on the HODs who are not so keen on giving good grades to employees so as to avoid creating competition for them. Overall, it's only good for people who are joining in the mid management level.. AVP & above... for the management, the employees below that doesnt matter. There is an acute shortage of staff and you would be required to put in extra hours at work. It still functions like a government organization where everything happens at it's own pace. Lastly, this is good for people who are wanting to have a stable job and are willing to slog but are not so ambitious in their carriers....Read More
