The work culture is very toxic especially in the compositing department with too much of the micromanagement. They make fake promises at the time of hiring, and once you get in, the true color starts to pop up. Everyone is busy in their own work and they rarely help you. From sups to artists people were going mad over the deadline and did not respect the lunch/dinner time. Your peers are less willing to help you and more willing to eat you up as they always see you as their competition. Especially some seniors, because they feared that if the juniors will learn more then eventually they are going to get replaced by them with less salary. Overtime is like a cup of tea, working on the weekends like a slave was the beauty. Politics between people of different states, for example mallu majority didn't liked to interact with people from other community or state, but were always interested in interferring in other's work and trouble them. They were the most toxic people I have ever encountered, or maybe the group itself was bad and I was short of luck to have met good malayalam peeps.
During the peak pandemic, they refused to provide wfh opportunity and called everyone to office, only people with a good connect in the management were allowed to have the wfh and rest were dragged on the floor even when they weren't willing to.
All in all these people and the bad management have destroyed the workplace and personal life of many. The HR of the MPC/Technicolor was so rude when I spoke of resigning as if I own them something wherein, actually it was the opposite case, they owed me my wasted hours and days. Literally no management exists when you need one. Production co-ordinators like Priy* S Jai* who have stayed in the company for long period and think it is their ancestral company, have made sure that toxicity stays in the company forever and they will continue to spread that wherever they go to work.
From the CEO to the MD of the MPC India/ Global, everyone is hand in hand when it comes to exploitation or resolution....Read More
