Morningstar is a very good company with a good culture. Employees are taken care and there are many benefits that we get which are not even thought in other companies. There are policies like stipend, maternity, paternity, sabbatical, family care leave, hybrid work policy, etc

Dislikes

Morningstar is not a pay master and for some department there is no growth in career means promotions are not happening.

Likes

The company has a great culture, people are treated with respect. Employees are given time to perform if they are struggling. The office has a very flexible time schedule and work hours. As long as the work gets done no one will interfere with when you login or log out. Promotions are dependent on business growth. However, the promotion hikes are barely 20%.

Dislikes

The company offers very limited pay with 4-6% hike on every appraisal. It's a great company to be at when you are already satisfied with your pay and want to keep pace with inflation. Not when you are looking to grow.

On all the negative points that i have mentioned they always keep talking about good work culture which is confined to the fact that you can take leave anytime you want.

Dislikes

No skill development, no credible work, very below the average salary. You wouldn't reach a six figure salary even after 4 or 5 years working in the company.

The team with product consulting mixes 3 jobs into one role and is severely overworked with no proper sick leaves and sick leaves being considered as unplanned which affect your KPIs if more than 3 in a month. That's just terrible. Work hours and conditions are terrible. Other teams in the company have much better working conditions

The work culture is pretty good if you compare it to the Big 4s or the major Indian firms. The work itself is not too stressful, although it depends on your team and the manager.

Dislikes

Expect absolutely 0% growth in your career and skills during your time here. This is a dead end job which will just be good to pay your bills but kill your growth in the long run. It’s like working at a 100 year old Indian Public Bank with the same systems and processes, copy and paste model. You’ll always feel stuck and frustratedhere no matter how long you’ve been here. I’d advise working at a different company where you’ll have to burn the midnight oil for a year, but could equip yourself with the right skills ensuring long term growth. This job is for those who’ve been defeated by luck, who were left with no other choice but to accept this job. If you are in a desperate need of a job, like many people in the country at the moment, then you can go for this one. Morningstar (Sustainalytics) culture is really good and you will get proper training and materials for your work. There is enough work life balance.

Dislikes

Growth opportunities may be limited due to high competent environment and you have to spend enough time for promotion.

Proper on time pay and Good Work life Balance. Structured Training and Excellent Work Culture to learn and grow. In short it's a good company to join for Freshers as it is offering decent package for them.

Dislikes

After a point of time, Promotions and growth are a bit slow. Also the work here what most of the Teams/Departments do is more of Collection in nature and not of that Research.

Dislikes

The work culture is slowing becoming stressful. Micro-managing is becoming very prominent and you failurre will be held against you during appraisal and promotions.
