Culture is average, some good people are there

Dislikes

They give least concern towards employees and their work life balance. I was forced to be available for meeting at 7am as well as at 11.30pm, being in job hours mentioned 10am-7pm.

helpful seniors who were friends & mentors, lots of cool work on OpenSource & closed source as well, good work culture

Dislikes

kubecon driven development at times, crazy requirements, crazy coding but I still cherish and enjoyed it most of the time

interesting work, helpful mentors, great place to build a strong opensource resume, challenging work which is more interesting than reading & writing interesting things to and from a database, work on Kubernetes, sponsors CKA certification, overall one of the top 10%-ile startups to work at

Dislikes

Lack of open async communication, lots of meetings :'( , high attrition, core/experienced colleagues leaving for better offers hence lower oppertunities to get mentored, uses MS Teams & not Slack, lots of poorly synchronized tools which are very frustrating

Seeking advice on current job

Current Job Situation: I’ve been working at TCS for over 2.5 years, with a total experience of 4.5 years. My salary is 9.6 LPA, and I work with technologies like Casper framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, Java, PL/SQL, and JBoss. While I have good job security and flexibility, I feel like I’m working with outdated technologies and have a lot of leisure time, which is affecting my motivation. Concerns: 1. Outdated Tech: I’m worried that working with older tech will limit future opportunities. Should I stay or move to a role with newer technologies? 2. Salary: Is my current package competitive for my experience? What salary should I aim for if I switch? Seeking Advice: What modern technologies should I learn to stay relevant?
