Ability to innovate and curate application and product development in new technology. Exposure to some of the crucial Government and health care domain projects.

Dislikes

List is endless, but in one word 'Management'. Management , especially in leadership and Human resources are abysmal. It leaves a horrendous and bitter feeling while working up here. I've seen employees treatment as disposable assets at the sudden end of a project. I've seen employees with even after contribution of 10+ years, delivering key products, giving stellar performance go under appreciate and unrecognised. Sometimes even something as trivial as reimbursement for Important tech certifications aren't done proactively. The best thing and the need of hour for Mastek is to revisit the ideology of management, the creamy layer, who should be more sensitised towards 'Acutal' human element in the company. Company also seriously needs to revisit the HR teams, and train them to be at least be accountable and take ownership of there role. And Mastek used to be a People centric company....Read More

Got Rejected In an Interview, Just Because I Didn’t Answer a Personal Question

So, I got invited for this interview, and they told me to be there at 9 AM. Of course, I get there early, like 8:30, because I don't want to be late. But then I end up waiting for 1.5 hours. Seriously, they didn't even acknowledge me until 10. Then this HR lady calls me in, and she's totally unprofessional. She's like, on her phone, making personal calls while I'm sitting right there. And then she starts asking me these really weird questions, like what my nickname is, and what my dad does for a living. It got really uncomfortable when she started pressing for details about where my dad works. I mean, what does that have to do with anything? So I politely told her I didn't want to answer, and she actually said, "Then we can't continue this interview." I was honestly shocked. But instead of arguing, I just stood up and said, “Alright then.” And walked out. I left feeling pissed. Not only did they waste an hour of my time, but the HR rep was also rude and unprofessional..
