Appraisals take 4 months to process. Hierarchial communication is at its worst. Just a simple request can take 5-6 months to process and by the time it comes to any conclusion, employess are already out.. Randomly putting employees on PIP. Over burdening employees with different industry tasks and not giving enough increment as per industry standards.

What i only liked about the company was the hr team. They were very sweet especially olenya.

There's lot of things i like mentioning here. 1. I was into the digital marketing team of the company and before entering into this company i had always been into small scale industries. Hence, I was unknown about how large scale industries have their digital flow and these people criticized me for it and made me feel I'm the dumb one there. 2. They will majorly listen to the one who is already there at the company from long time and make the newbees at fault. 3. The most horrible point here is all the process flow atleast in digital marketing is made quite complicated even though the same thing could have been done easily and effortlessly and in turn they would make you feel dumb if you miss any one of the process. 4. They may even insult you in team meetings because that's what the so called "QA lead" did to me in front of everyone, in turn, me being the point of joke for everyone. 5. Even if you could straight away do the work, they'll have a lot of process through which you have to go through to make that work done. 6. I can proudly say that, because of my skills, I am proudly working in Uplers, one of the well known brands in India who work with clients like Disney, National geographic, HBO channel and many others. I would say even they have process flow but there is a easy way for everything. You don't have to make everything so complicated just because you can make it. 7. Salary is also an issue here. Uplers, where i currently work has given me thrice the expected salary and here in kilowott they said they won't be able to give a hike because I had just a month of experience in my past company. I have been offered a salary at uplers even more than the QA lead here in kilowott. 8. Having been a part of the company for the past three years, I can assert that my experience has been largely positive. The nature of projects is challenging and provides numerous learning opportunities. The leadership team is supportive and forward-thinking, cultivating an environment of trust.

Dislikes

Work hours of 8hrs 30 min is exhausting for the software engineer and not as per industry standard. Some of the processes need to be improved which makes working too complicated and hinders organization growth. Employee benefit policy has to be improved a lot because of which most of the people seems to leave the company.

There's excessive work pressure, and work-from-home employees are required to work 8.30 hours daily. One of the best thing about Kilowott is the work/office culture. Everyone enjoys doing there work and always helpful if you are in need. They also have permanent work form home job roles and its amazing. There are a lot of technologies to work with and they always put employees preferences on top. Overall a great environment to work in.

Only one thing I would like to see is there should be more benefits for an employee especially if someone is really putting their efforts because in that way the employee will be more enthusiastic towards their work.

I also find it inconvenient that Kilowott does not cover internet service charges for remote work, and there is no provision for providing company-owned laptops or devices for the job or official tasks.
