Its a typical 9-6 job. Work life balance can often go for a toss. Working over weekend and working late is often pretty common.
Dislikes
Management can often over micro-manage and create hindrance for developers. Poor resource management. Way too much work load, almost double or triple the amount of work can be expected from you within your billed hours(8 hrs). It is expected of you to work over weekends and work overtime to finish deadline. Speaking of overtime, there is not overtime pay. Employees are often fired even if they are good performer on the grounds if their projects don't earn enough revenue for company. Pay is below industry standard. Instead of taking unbiased and comprehensive approach, HR seems to be blindly following managers instructions without critically analysing situations.
