Ample Learning opportunities. Overall the Indorama group is huge and has multiple plants across the globe It's the best company to work with but the baddi plant is an exception here.

Worst Management in Baddi plant. Management doesn't even exist. Yeah!!! You heard it right because there is a single person who is running the entire plant. He is ruining Indorama's culture otherwise; the top management of the Indorama group is kind towards employees and has a growing mindset. Don't know why don't they take this plant seriously. The governing body of the Indorama group should audit this plant to encourage an employee-friendly culture. First when you join the company few days like everything but here is the maintenance head and HR person are not cooperative. All the points you've outlined are now associated with the Indorama Jagdishpur unit, ensuring they reflect the specific challenges there.

1) The CTC for engineers includes numerous deductions, such as for township housing and electricity, which significantly reduce the in-hand salary. Despite taking on substantial responsibilities and meeting performance targets, these deductions make the compensation less competitive. Additionally, the hiring process is quite slow; when employees resign, HR tends to focus on filling the vacancies at a lower salary range, which affects team efficiency and morale. Addressing these issues would help improve job satisfaction and employee retention. 2)The salary structure for engineers is currently lower than that of Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs) in some cases, which is highly demotivating. This disparity in compensation is concerning, as experienced engineers should not be earning less than trainees. Without competitive and fair salaries, it is difficult to retain skilled and experienced employees, despite the valuable experience the plant offers. 3) Maintenance engineers often work on Saturdays and Sundays and festivals days without any Compensatory Off (CO) or additional pay, even though they are regularly called in for urgent issues on weekends. Management maintains that CO is only for shift employees, leaving general shift engineers without compensation for extra hours. This lack of recognition for weekend work is a major source of dissatisfaction and adds to the strain on the maintenance team. 4) Engineers are often not allowed to take leave during the festival season due to the plant's age and the likelihood of issues arising unexpectedly. While we understand the plant’s needs, this policy prevents maintenance engineers from spending important occasions with their families, impacting their morale and work-life balance. A more balanced approach would be appreciated to help manage both operational demands and personal time during festivals. 5) When an engineer resigns, the resignation process often involves extensive delays, with management frequently not accepting the resignation letter promptly and prolonging the exit process. This creates frustration for the departing employee and disrupts transition planning. Streamlining the resignation process would help maintain positive relationships and ensure smoother transitions....Read More

But based on the above challenging factors Human Resources are superb till date as Old (is gold) experienced employees are still working at every department with richexperience about this plant. Backward integration of Raw materials made it more secure to continue production. So chances of closure, product overstocking or plant stock outs are very less....Read More

HR functions are very poor. in terms of retention of talent, timely promotions, production bonuses or CTC packages, Resigned employees settlement, recruitment in place of resigned employees impacting work-life balances. One hand high production rate, other hand lower manpower strength impacting work life balances. Horrible promotional policy also made HR a funny department. Even company not able to arrange new site head as existing site head retired 2 years back and still continuing in his chair.
