Mind boiling pressure at work. Manager calls you after work at any time even at mid night and give you work which needs to be completed and sent on email on the same night. No patience from top management. They are continuously putting pressure on everyone. Company has removed more than 40℅ of the workforce. Silent layoff is going on for so long as well. Chegg is on the verge of shutting down.

Managers in Marketing ops won't let their subordinates grow. A lot of politics for promotions, especially since the downfall of the Chegg post chat gpt launch. Silent layoffs underway.

Pathetic company. No promotion. No hikes. Company is on verge of closing still hiring people to ruin their career. Worst company ever. They are letting go of managers who worked hard here in for more than 10 years.

Even though I got no hike and managers wanted me to appreciate it, I'd still tell you good sides of company. 2 weeks complete off per year. July first week and Diwali week. Lots of different Snacks, Free lunch. They spend money on that one for sure. Some "leaders" are good. Like the VP of Engineering Pradeep. You can openly discuss anything to him be you're an intern or anyone. Depends on person to person. There's no strict working hours in and out policy. Nothing is being tracked at that front. Someone said: India is a dumping ground for US. I totally agree to it. Felt it after joining. No one and I literally mean No one in India questions the US people. They do whatever you have been asked. Late night calls, do it according to US people. You build a project, get it reviewed from US. They look at you like you don't worth it. Cheap labour. India team tries to get in good books of US, always still it's not enough. Showing is mor than doing because US team needs to see it. Depends on managers to managers. Some help you, others just want you get work done with no support from their side. Company is in decline due to OpenAI. Layoffs have happened couple of times in 2024 already....Read More

Chegg has an amazing and encouraging culture that motivates employees to upskill and work hard. Chegg also has top of the class benefits for the employees
