It is not at all a company, but a reputed and major bio-medical research institute of Indian council of Medical Research of Ministry of Health of Government of India with international research collaboration with USA, UK, Australia, Japan, Korea, Singapore like countries.

I have worked here 28 yr, 2 month in world class and sophisticated laboratories of Immunology and Microbiology department. I have done my Master's degree from Tsukuba University, Japan and Ph. D. from Jadavpur University, Kolkata, India in-service time.

My stint at NICED was productive and my association with my supervisor was valued. My colleagues were supportive.

The position was contractual and there was no incentive to join the institute in the capacity of a scientist for the long term. The Institute was facing a financial crunch due to altered policies of the parent funding body ICMR. If one has an individual project funded by an external funding body then it is okay to continue research but the internal funding had dwindled that led to my decision of early voluntary closure of my own funding from DBT as I was looking to join the Industry eventually....Read More
