At around 10 years back it was an excellent company though of medium category yet regularly paid dividend to the GoI. The work culture was good and the people were happy.The bosses were stable and friendly and guided during the crucial period to arrive a decision.The best part was I was open highhandedly executed the things I liked specially in the field of Farm Forestry and Tissue Culture activities which also fulfills the sustainability culture that getting raw material by giving more supplements to the mother nature and that too by engaging the local tribal people.I traveled a lot and met people,attended the seminars and updating the skills.I also completed my MBA in HR since I love to work with people....Read More

Dislikes

All of a sudden the things started declining and people become offensive to each other.Earlier the top bosses were from in side the Company and now they are hiring from outside.The new bosses from top management institute started implementing their mission without taking necessary time to get the feel of the work flow and team ofemployees working for years together and out rightly implemented the policies which may be good for the top companies with high financial stability where they produce multiple product from minimum input like Oil Companies with more work force but not to the mid level homely Companies where employees working very hard to manufacture a single product from multiple input in a homely environment.Initially it started with the whimsical transfer of the officer from one unit to another which turns to pick and choose type motivated by the big contractors.To get rid of the transfer people started suspecting each other and the work culture started deteriorating and employees become offensive to each other. The financial power centralized to Company Head quarter and now the unit could not took own decision for renovation and other important things.The machinery suffered and top bosses concentrated on more production with paying hid to regular maintenance work.Finally the down time increased ,the raw material price increased due to the contractor lobby and the result is increase of variable price and continuous loss.the quality time which I once enjoyed with playing TT or by writing and taking photography taken over by long office hours without much result. Working at Hindustan Paper Corporation Limited is definitely well. Everything like team work, employees on the job training, job security are maintaining in balance position. Here career growth are fine and also salary structure are very good. Moreover, work environment here is somehow well.

I dislike work environment, learning system prevailing here.
