1. Salary is very low for old employees. So, for example, if you are being hired now from a top B-School or B.Tech. college, your salary can be double of any existing employee in your department/function EVEN AT THE SAME GRADE. But do not be so happy: think of the next year when new joiners come to your department 2. Company does NOT care about employee well-being in terms of monetary values. So the salary structure is neither revised nor corrected. This is going on year after year. CEO, CFO, CHRO are just extremely happy that they are cutting down overall cost! No salary benchmarking, no correction, nothing! 3. Work life balance is not good at all (recent information - do not go by old reviews). Manager calls up the team members on Saturday or Sunday. What's disgusting is that they ask you to call your female colleagues as late as 9 PM - 10 PM at night. For me, my manager forces me to work till 12.30 AM - 1 AM at night. Saturdays and Sundays are now unofficially working days. 4. Career growth is stagnant in Finance, HR, IT, Plants and for some cases in Sales function. Unless you are able to PLEASE YOUR BOSS/MANAGER, you will not be promoted and definitely not get a good rating. 5. Sometimes managers are incompetent. They will DICTATE you to work and put more work and yet more on you, while they themselves are watching TV or attending some completely unnecessary so-called meetings! not to mention, these meetings are just for the sake of show-up and do not majorly contribute to any decision making for the organization. 6. The new CHRO is more of an operation person than being a motivational leader, hence his action defies his intention and does not bridge the gap - what's required and what he is proposing.
