Harman has various verticals. Like DTS, Lifestyle and Automotive. I'm specifically talking about Automotive. Harman automotive underwent a management change 2 yrs back and this year alot of people were fired. I do believe management was more at fault as they were unable to bring in sales and customers. The appraisal is not in the hands of an employee anymore. Work life balance is good, Culture is good. Salary on time , insurance , team outing and many programmes like men'sday ,women's day , pride day etc celebration.

Job security also not much good. Apparsail and salary depends upon location and for pune and banglore is very bad appraisal. Promotions is very rare . Learning is not good .

If Johndeere is a client, don't join this company. Mobile phones are not allowed inside the office, it's like being jailed. It's like slavery. Johndeere makes every decision, including hikes. You will be harrassed by Johndeere leads a lot. Their work is also given to you.

Work life balance is poor. Expectation is to work 24 hours a day. Seniors are expected to work for 2 person. My team only had 2 interns. Burn out. Management thinks we shud close all bugs in one day else get ready for the bash. Lot of intimidations happen in meeting.

This was the first company where I saw Indians held senior roles & behaved equal (sometimes superior) to foreigners

Dislikes

Maybe it was specific to my VP but the work environment was very toxic. Women were treated as secretaries. Because the team is global, work was 24/5 & your work was not recognized or appreciated, it was taken for granted. No support from HR, they only reacted to the VP.
