Mostly bureaucratic and old school work culture. Some of the staff has survived ages here so are in no mood to change. The biggest shock comes when the boss who recruited you does not support you but is concerned only with his own deliverables. No moral support, dirty politics and team breaking exercises are the forte of such bosses. Every day you wake up its like oh shit, i have to go to work today too. Basically no zeal comes from within because it is a fact that no matter what you do your boss is going to either countermand it or show it to his superiors as his own idea.
