If you you go in bad books of someone senior you will not get to know why you were given bad rating. There will be no sign or information before the final rating is out. PIP is joke in the company, it is meant to kick you out no matter how good and extraordinary you perform. Remember at the end of the day your boss is human only and that means someone can really go after your life
