1. The Opex team currently faces significant challenges in its functioning and management. 2. There is a lack of clarity from management regarding expectations and requirements. 3. Micro-management practices hinder effective work processes. 4. The primary focus is on meeting the 25-day Turnaround Time (TAT) for procurement, withlittle consideration for the nature or complexity of the tasks involved. 5. The work culture is difficult and does not promote productivity or employee satisfaction. 6. The department has an excessive number of reporting heads, creating ambiguity in roles and responsibilities. 7. Employees often face confusion about reporting lines, which include multiple figures such as the Business Head, Business SPOC, Vertical Head, Category Head, Opex Head, and COE Head. 8. The effectiveness of category managers is perceived to be minimal. 9. Review meetings are scheduled frequently, sometimes multiple times a day, disrupting workflow. 10. The SOP lacks clarity and purpose, causing frustration during its implementation. Unlike other organizations where SOPs simplify and streamline processes, here they create hurdles at every step. 11. Although the "7 Values of GMR" are frequently discussed in meetings, they are rarely upheld in practice. 12. The exit policy is cumbersome and demoralizing, with resigning employees often being treated poorly. 13. The HR team is perceived as unreliable and inconsistent in their practices. 14. During the PR to PO conversion process, buyers bear sole accountability to meet the 25-day deadline, even when delays are caused by internal or external stakeholders. 15. Employees are treated like bonded laborers when they ask for leave, and if they take sick leave, they're accused of lying—just because they’re not coughing." 16. People from MNC should never join GMR. You will be in for an absolute shock with the culture here. People have to be called as sirs and madams and have a fragile ego. There is micro management and it's a school atmosphere with absurd rules related to seating or dress code. On paper we are given 40 leaves but leaves are not at all approved. Most of the leaves expire by year end because leaves are not approved. The process is lengthy and very backward. Still signed offer letter are required in the era when the whole world has moved towards paperless documentation. HR department is a joke here. They offer candidates less than what they are currently drawing. Fms is bad. Office reeks of mould and if full of cockroaches and mouses. Coffee vending machines never work. 1.Horrible Culture in Opex department with management not from Sourcing background with lack of managerial skills. In AGM and GM. 2.Treat employee very bad after resignation. 3.Horible procurement process as they just focus on TAt.How a person can negotiate 1 lacs in 25 days and 1 crore in 25 Company focus on Purchase rather than procurement.They are focusing on Artificial intelligence implementation but due to poor guidance of senior management as they are not from Sourcing background it will definitely fail. 4.Tech still not there , doing all works manually even having Ariba but due to management not from Sourcing background unable to utilise Ariba. 5.You will be confused who is your manager. 6.Manager don't have single work to do just company is good so unable to see that and they are at last stage of retirement. 7.Havent seen the big Liar Hr in my career .
