1) Rampant crony capitalism - esp. in GPS India Engineering. If you have a personal friendship with one of the Directors, you will be protected/ promoted, irrespective of customer or team feedback. If you are not in their personal circle, you will be sidelined or fired. 2) Lack of Engineering leaders - Org structure is being changed but the same non-Engineering folks who have built a wasteful, low performance culture over 10+ years have been put in charge, with new titles like Engineering Directors. So, on the ground there is no improvement. 3) For past many months, arbitrary layoffs have been done, based on personal politics instead of publishing Internal Jobs for all roles and letting people apply to that - thus creating a very unhealthy environment....Read More

It's been phenomenal given i moved to fidelity seeking my work life balance. Fidelity judges you basis your output and ability to perform and not by how many hours you can clock doing nothing.

Culture plus space to innovate. You have the space to try different things and you are encouraged to do that.

While trying out different things sometimes people forget the bigger picture and focus on what they are doing at present. There should a check which is important.

I am part of FIL family for good part of last 11 years. I have done multiple roles during that time and Fidelity gives us the opportunity to do so. It is great organization to be part of.

Lala company culture. You won't feel working in corporate. If you are good in pleasing boss than you will be good. Diffrence of opinion are fatal. Politics is very high. Company is in down cycle . Job cuts are frequent and they stopped employee engagement experience i.e. diwali gifts, get together, other benifit.

Till last year the company was good with some perks and benefits but this year they have started with layoffs in a big way. Plus the profile doesn't match with the kind work offered.

Favouritism. Plus layoffs this year. All major perks like free transport have either been removed or have been made paid. Company is not in good shape and is mostly cash strapped

India management have no idea of key decision taken in London. India management say something but opposite happened from London. FIL is going with crisis and will not recommend to anyone.

There is a significant communication gap between the India management and the London management. However, key decisions are driven by the London team. Due to cost pressures, the London management exerts undue pressure on employees, often leading to unprofessional treatment that keeps them in a subordinate position.

This place made me suicidal and started making me question my self-worth as a person. - Office politics in every department. - Favoritism towards certain employees. - Pushed to my absolute limits and still scolded for being unproductive. - The management made me start questioning my self-worth on a professional level. - They make you think that you are not doing enough and start comparing you to their favorite employees. - You get burnt out sooner than expected and are almost always on the verge of an emotional breakdown. The company is actually very employee centric in relation to other companies. Although during the recent times Fidelity has been laying off people from offices globally. At the moment the company is going good targeting higher margin for profits and reducing the benefits but still the company is a goor company to work with.

Sometimes, the work load increases and it goes for all levels of management. Something that is concerning for the non tech side is the real time monitoring. Each and every task is timed and if you complete the task within the required time then you are productive. If you do not complete the task within the time then it reduces your productivity which can impact during the appraisal cycles because as humans not every instruction can be done within a specified time limit....Read More

Toxic culture, head office in India is in Gurgaon and the expectation is to be Hindi speaking or else you will not be given importance. Long working hours, redundant manual work and a culture that is reluctant to change. Despite of slogging countless hours you will not be valued or appreciated.

1. They have to increase the presence in india. Vacating one place for another is not a good strategic move. 2. They should progress in terms of technology. 3. They have to improve medical insurance and those perks.
