Management too interested in disturbing personal lives by micro management ideas, work life balance is not good and growth in terms of technical knowledge is almost none

Exl is a great place to start your career. People are very nice. There is a chance to interact with higher authorities. I learnt new tools, technology in exl. I learnt how to handle clients, how to manage people. Overall a great experience

Dislikes

There is huge discrimination between IITIANS and Non IITIANS. An iitian fresher gets around 10 lpa whereas non iitian gets around 6 even though they both work on the same technology. Even after 3 years of work experience in exl, an iitian fresher was earning more, that's bit discouraging. Some managers are more involved in politics than work.

Work Details

I was working as a consultant for a major payment network. I did analysis using tools like Hive , Hadoop, Tableau, excel. Other people mainly use SAS in exl.

The salary structure EXL offers is kind of partial. There is huge gap between salary of IITans(A grade institute) and others(NITs or Other institute) at equal level of experience.
