Variable Pay Issue: I recently left my job at Embibe. They refused to give me a part of the pay that I had earned, stating that I needed to work for 180 days to be eligible. I was informed that eligibility required 180 days of work, which seemed contradictory to the company policy mentioned in the document shared with the employees,which seemed to state that variable pay would be given annually on a pro-rata basis for the financial year. Unfortunately, there was a lack of clarity on the exact duration an employee needs to work to be eligible for variable pay, leading to an unfair situation in which my efforts were not adequately compensated. Lack of Feedback and Exit Process: The HR department doesn't gather feedback from employees when they leave, and they don't provide an exit form. Work-Life Balance and Long Hours: I experienced no balance between work and personal life, with long working hours. Project Management and Leadership Skills: The tasks are not properly planned, and project leaders don't consider feedback from team members. The people chosen to lead projects are often selected based on personal relationships rather than their skills or abilities, hindering project success and teamwork. Many of the leaders lack skills in project and people management. A biased attitude is common, and there's a sense of insecurity among some leaders about their subordinates growing and advancing. Salary Structure and Hierarchical Issues: The salary isn't determined by experience, skills, knowledge, or leadership qualities. In some cases, senior employees report to junior employees who lack these qualities. The company's salary grades don't seem to align well with the abilities of the employees, with higher-paid employees sometimes having lower grades. Also, sometimes employees in higher grades report to those in lower grades, which doesn't follow proper HR practices. It appears that the company seems to favour employees based on relationships and friendships, giving good salaries and positions to those close to them. There's no recognition for skills, knowledge, experience, hard work, and dedication. Value for Skills and Experience: The perception that relationships and friendships hold more weight than skills, knowledge, and hard work can undermine employee morale and hinder the company's overall growth....Read More
