I joined Embibe recently. The interview process was smooth but it took longer than usual, which is understandable considering everything is remote because of the Covid. Post joining, I have been guided closely by my team members and managers. They are literally available 24x7 and are very friendly. The compensation is really good enough, even though 20% of the CTC is paid based on the performance. Actually, I think this is a good thing as it motivates us to perform better. First and foremost, I'm extremely grateful for the company for giving an opportunity considering I barely had any relevant experience which was required for the role. The time in the company was a great learning experience. I learned a lot about the trade, especially the digital marketing aspect.
I cannot say about the other departments but the work-life balance in the department i worked for was completely off the scale. The compassion among the teammates was missing, like i barely got any help in getting started. One of the team leads was entirely dedicated to the work, as if he had no life outside the company and forced his ideology on others too. The other team lead was living in her own world most of the time and it clearly seemed that she got into that position by a**-licking. The manager had his own agenda and probably thought of himself as the only important and relevant person, though he was approachable and even friendly at time. Now the worst part of the company is undoubtedly the HR department. Right from the policies to treatment of employees, it's all completely messed up. I was made to leave the company because I accidentally gave myself a rating of 2(out of 5) in a quarterly review. The people are mostly good. Your colleagues are usually hires with good previous backgrounds and you can make a lot of connections (which will help a lot since you obviously will be leaving the company along with them , thus making referrals and getting another job easier). Also the fixed component of your salary arrives on time.
- The managers are some of the worst you'd seee across the board. The top management prefers yes men, and the people they end up hiring know nothing of domain they are in. - Variable pays are frozen without intimation. And no one gets a 100percent even if you eat, sleep and breath work. - Incompetent managers put up under-experienced team leads in charge to be yes (wo)men (The chances of being a team lead improves if you are a female and can giggle at jokes) - Townhalls called by the CEO have no content related to how the business is actually doing. Its basically just a huge self suction to rest their egos. - Content and marketing teams are clueless since the team leads and managers are clueless. (There were three content managers in the same team at a point of time - not an exaggeration). - There is no monetary model. The ship sinks if reliance stops funding. - HR policies change faster than bangalore weather. - The attrition rate is so high, they literally don't need to layoff. The oldest person you will find in the team apart from managers would if lucky have a term of 1 yr, and not more. - Look for negative reviews only on glassdoor. All the good ones are fake. Very supportive organization. The COVID Team is doing a remarkable job to get us hospital beds, medicines, oximeters, etc. The salary, even in these uncertain times, is paid in full and on time. Work culture is great. Everybody in the organization is approachable and friendly. They go above & beyond to help a fellow colleague. The CEO really represents women empowerment.
I don't dislike anything. But I believe hiring process can be improved.

If you are willing to li***ck functional heads or CEOs backside, you'll get promoted and may even get handsome appraisal, or you get cornered or PIP or laid off. They don't care about your competency. So, if you are good at your job and have a bit of integrity, this is not a company to work. If you got an offer from here, no matter what, DO NOT accept it. She forces people to put positive reviews about the company to make sure Tech people joins and all the positive reviews are forced to give by the current employees. Worst experience in my Life... I served more then 2 years for this company. End of the day layoff, layoff is not a matter, matter is they treat like use and through. They behave like we are pros....
No growth, end of the day they provide variable pay 40% only, after 13 months, without notice period they fired within 10 minutes. My total variable amount is 1,55000. But they given only 55000.
