As an English teacher at Ekya Schools for the last three years, I've witnessed the school's administration expand exponentially. In addition, the high standard of pupils at Ekya Schools makes my job as a teacher more enjoyable. I have a lot of admiration and respect for my students and colleagues because of this.

Dictatorship rule Hierarchy not followed Words of Seniors and super seniors in the institution are more valued.... Be whatever. Others views are disregarded. No human touch at all. Completely disconnected with each other.

Building Bonds with Students: The school allows and encourages teachers to form personal connections with students, making them feel comfortable and supported. 3. 1. Inefficient HR Department: Very poorly managed and lacks a systematic approach, making it one of the worst HR experiences encountered. They are not at all effective. 2. Unreliable Talent Acquisition Team: not trustworthy, often providing misleading information for potential hires. Negative reviews about the school are dismissed as a fault of the previous employees, which us untruthful as the complaints are valid. 3. Ineffective Professional Development: The mandatory 108 hours of PD sessions are unproductive and do not contribute to career growth, making them waste of time and energy. 4. Problematic Principal: She is a significant issue. Over 55 years old, she lacks empathy and treats teachers poorly, often speaking without consideration and acting as if teachers are her subordinates. She is extremely rude. 5. High teacher Turnover: Many teachers leave mid-year, causing significant disruptions. Due to school's insufficient human resources, the teachers who stay get lot of duty classes and the the duty classes are so random, for instance, a senior school teacher is given duty in grade 1 or 2, which makes no sense at all. 6. Error-Prone Ekya Learning Center: The ELC frequently produces error-filled question papers (from chapter tests to pre-boards), which requires teachers to spend excessive time correcting them, often communicated via Slack, necessitating constant phone use. (Fun fact is the only work they do is making question papers). 7. Inconsistent Communication Practices: Although the principal discourages phone use, all critical communications are manages through WhatsApp, leading to contradictory and stressful communication process. 8. Poor Coordination Among Coordinators: There is a lack of coordination among the coordinators, leading to confusion and additional stress for teachers. 9. Unfair Extra Classes: After resignation, the academic coordinator assigns numerous extra classes, disregarding personal health issues or other concerns. 10. Delayed Final Salary: After resignation, there are numerous formalities to complete, but the last month's salary is often delayed without clear communication from HR. The policy mentions 45-day period for the documents and full and final settlement (that particular month) but lacks clarity on the previous month salary. The problem is they give you a complete LOP pay slip although you have worked the entire month; and the worst thing is they don't even give your last pay slip by themself, you'll have to send a mail and get it. 11. No job security: They will take you out of the job even if you have good reviews from the parents, only because they have lesser sections (less admissions) to deal with. 12. HR Policies: Its understandable that the HR Policy is one sided but they don't even follow it themselves. The HR department needs serious attention on an immediate basis. Everything else will start falling into places on its own post that. Being a teacher myself, I honestly suggest you not join this organization, you'll be at your worst.
