Work distribution is pathetic. If you work well, you'll be loaded with more work. And for those who don't work, they'll push their work onto you. Eaton management needs a lot of rethinking and really needs to bridge the gap between research and product teams. You can't develop any product without the product team's involvement from the beginning. No much flexibility like work from home etc..and career growth is very slow and salary hike is very average. All community activities led by company are on weekends taking employees family time..

Very Ethical Company. Job Security. Opportunities to learn new things through a variety of products both in industrial and electrical sectors. Good pay above industry average.

Dislikes

Extended hours due to USA counterparts. Overburdening with additional work sometimes have to work on weekends. A bit slow in making pandemic related decision making but finally decisions are made, so that compensates. This is a cost centre requiring to impress US counterparts due to which leaders overcommit goals.

Work Details

Work life keeps on fluctuating. Most of the times it is stressfull due to extended hours for higher positions.

I recently interviewed with D.E. Shaw, and it turned out to be one of the most draining experiences I’ve had. The interviewer’s approach felt unnecessarily harsh and dismissive, which made the entire process uncomfortable. At multiple points, the interviewer asked me to drop off the call, even when I tried asking basic questions about the designation, job description, and other details. After the interview, I found myself sitting there for a few minutes, trying to process what just happened. It left me questioning the overall tone and professionalism of the interview. Definitely not the experience I was expecting from such a well-known firm.
