Many interns / juniors advocates work for free or miniscule stipend under senior advocates just to get some practical experience of litigation. Initial years of practice are very hard especially for first generation advocates, as there is no strong financial support for them generally. There is neck cutting competition with survival of the fittest. Litigation practice is the domain where strong preys upon the weak. Some days are good, some are bad and some may be baddest. Earnings also are not stable until you have good established practice. As per BCI rules you cannot advertise your work, you cannot work in any other field simultaneously.
