overall a good company. For someone starting their career you would get a lot to learn.

Dislikes

Sometimes people expect you to work overtime but there is no concept of overtime pay or comp-off. Middle management is a bit weird when try to get wfh for more than 2 days in a week.

Work policy: Wfh will be given only when absolutely necessary. But the middle management is the worse when it comes to applying for wfh. They will try their absolute best that you should be in office.

Only good thing there are the amazingly good people working under illogical egocentric founders. If you are looking to build friendships at the work place and are fine with casual groupism in your day to day life, this is the place to be. As they say on social media, there is no better camaraderie than the kind that is forged while working under the same terrible leadership.

Dislikes

Oh where to start! - Not being reasonable in terms of timelines and workload. - Engineering team stretched thin with tons of work. - Hiring middle management just to take the fall for terrible decisions made by the founders. - Peak Groupism like you used to see back in high school.. Segregation between popular vs non popular kids. - They will lure you with decent packages and dream like projects and once you join, your entire experience of being a good Data Scientist will be reduced to running scrappers and creating fake data to con the clients. - Every other person at the office is looking out for opportunities. Literally everyone except for the popular kids. - The infrastructure of the office where they operate from is so bad that during peak summers there wasn't a proper functioning AC. Yes, they will compensate with table fans like the ones you see in weddings. - If you are relocating from a different city, trust me you will curse your luck within a month of joining. No flexibility in WFH policy even though on paper they will say that you can take up to 15 days every quarter. Good luck convincing your seniors (and I really hope they are not the founders). A girl from my team who was working closely with the founders went home only once in entire 1.5 years. If you have no other options and you are joining because of desperation here are a few tips: - In the first few weeks, befriend all the loudest people from the office (you will notice them at your very first week itself) - Be as loud and vocal as possible. Trust me, if you are someone who can speak too much even if you are wrong. - Don't expect much learning at the office. You will learn how to work late hours, how to withstand illogical requests and scolding, how to fake data and lie to clients.
