The freedom to teach anyway you like, evaluate anyway you like and no restrictions of style and timing of working, as long as you deliver.

Dislikes

There are still issues about career progression. Some people feel that we are still paid lesser than some other places.

I am an economist. I teach three courses a year; two are designed completely by me. In addition, I do research, publish articles and books, attend conferences, do funded projects, etc.

Current Job Situation: I’ve been working at TCS for over 2.5 years, with a total experience of 4.5 years. My salary is 9.6 LPA, and I work with technologies like Casper framework, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JSP, Java, PL/SQL, and JBoss.
