The job security and work culture are good. The learning curve is very steep and the learning is useful.
The salary is pathetic and the growth prospects are very poor. Company charges clients around 30-35$ per hr of editing (on average). Editors are paid hardly 3$ per hr. If working to enrich others is your goal, this company is suitable for you.

Apart from monthly salary, there is a regular flow of finances through annual bonus, performance incentives, and appraisals. You will be glad to know that, unlike many other companies, we ensured timely bonuses and appraisals during the current pandemic as well. Salary is paid out on time. Generally, this place has understanding and helpful colleagues and seniors.
The workload is extremely high. On several days, you end up working way beyond shift hours. The pay structure and appraisals are also disappointing. Even though editors are expected to work under very tight deadlines, even the most minor of misses are focused on and feedback is provided. The office space is cramped. No leaves on national holidays or public holidays in the name of capacity too. Only I liked the skill development and the training period. You gain moderately good time management skills.
You are made to work like a donkey for earning peanuts. On the face, their treatment is nice and polite. However, then reality hits you later after training period. It does not get better even after becoming a team lead. Their good behaviour is just on paper or just for show so that they do not face any legal repercussions. They like to play psychological mind games to bring you down. Everyday your workload will be naturally high as per your shift. The work never ends on time. They know this, yet they blame the employee for not finishing on time. Many of my colleagues and myself used to face last min and inconvenient work allocations. Also this is done deliberately even on the last working day to inconvenience the employee. They make issues over the smallest of mistakes. They blame every mistake upon the editor. Humans cannot be perfect, especially not under deadlines. Quality work needs time. They do not understand that. Incentives and bonuses are a joke. There is barely any overtime compensation. Most of them will be taken away from you under the name of ISOs. You get tired eventually of the intense deadline-driven work environment.
