Disappointing Interview Experience with D.E. Shaw

I recently interviewed with D.E. Shaw, and it turned out to be one of the most draining experiences I’ve had. The interviewer’s approach felt unnecessarily harsh and dismissive, which made the entire process uncomfortable. At multiple points, the interviewer asked me to drop off the call, even when I tried asking basic questions about the designation, job description, and other details. After the interview, I found myself sitting there for a few minutes, trying to process what just happened. It left me questioning the overall tone and professionalism of the interview. Definitely not the experience I was expecting from such a well-known firm.

1) Completely dumb management 2) Rules and regulations can be changed anytime depending upon the concerned person. 3) Value of work will never be appreciated and you will be told that you should add some value to the company although when you are generating financial assets. 4) No work life balance you have to work on all festivals like Holi, Diwali, Eid, Christmas, New year etc. and maximum time in night also. 5) They do fraud with govt. Organizations by making false contracts and winning the bids. 6) If you are a data scientist then also they will expect you to do sales and IT work. 7) Top management here can abuse you in the office. 8) Last but not the least, respect will only be given to those who have foreign degree of education....Read More
