Public sector, Only 20 % are working for 100% of the staff. Its like their is no option for those 20% but to work. Transfer Policy is not transparent ,many people's you will find who continues their home place for more than 10 years ,since become clerk to till higher post.Genuine people try hard to survive ,staff crunch , Branch Manager handling branche without getting proper infrastructure.Rural branches are pathetic to work ,No proper HR policy. Difficult to get monthly allowance , No support staff No recovery team Vertical wise work is not implemented. Recovery is very difficult task while handling branch with shortage of staff. Off days you have to work else you will again get stuck with customer dealing as usual and your pending work never completes.Old branch more than 10 years is very difficult to work. Poor compensation while transferring your household items inter City/state. No policy regarding work from home. Recruitment is not at optimum level to compensate retirees and resigners exit. The work environment is actually very good and positive for every employee working out here. Though Iam not an official employee of the Canara Bank, as I have been hired by an consulting company, but Iam satisfied and happy with the behaviour of the staff towards me and there is an extremely bollant relationship between us and with our work.

Though it's a PSU, the work culture resembles a Private Company. I mean the advantages of being in a PSU and the work culture in private sector.
