Overall company culture is good but micromanaging makes everything poor. Even AMs, Managers have to inform and update breaks before going away from their systems/Laptop. There is no flexible work hours as strictly shit timing needs to follow
work culture is not great and everything becomes poor when work culture is not good .
The job is not that interesting because you follow onshore instructions and we can't take any decisions here in India. Everything is managed by UK manager's.

The work culture at BNYM is excellent, helps you organise yourself to perform better.
The salary structure is still not at par with the industry. Also, career growth is very slow.
The work life is good. There is no unnecessary expectation of staying long hours if your work is done. The communication from the senior managers is quite transparent and welcoming.

So much internal learning.
The work culture is good but managers do not try to maintain healthy environment. Too much internal politics. Manager’s favourite people get highlighted and eventually get promoted. Very less yearly increment. Frequent layoffs.

There's nothing to like at BNY. There's so much politics that when the layoff happens they will save the employees who are from Chennai even if you are much more skilled.

The company is going through a lot of senior leadership changes. Favoritism starts at the top, senior leadership having acquaintances with colleagues from JP and Morgan Stanley have taken over and existing ppl are being discarded in a dishonest fashion. There is a sense of insecurity across the floor. And senior leaders are not doing enough to pass on a sense of security (I think they are trying to save their own positions and somewhere got lost) I have heard lot of stories, people being told to leave the bank.
