My experience with BNP Paribas was amazing because it was first job as well in CLM Department. Some positive points are, 1. Compensation & Bonus for which we salaried class works is good & Increment is in double digit until and unless you don't indulge in any argument with your manager or VP. 2. Dislikes

There are many areas which needs to be corrected but it depends on process to process. 1. Management will always strive towards cost-cutting. 2. No adequate training is provided to new joiners because the seniors members are already overburdened with the work. 3. Attrition rate is very high & management doesn't care about the same. 4. Promotions are bias based on manager preference & the firm is Manager oriented not HR but we speak to onshore the have decent policies & procedures are in place. 5. My experience in term of leaves was pathetic because in my process there were some VP who are too much workaholic so they don't like to give leaves. 6. Never join as a contractor if you are fresher there are some managers who will make your life miserable but if you are lucky enough you might also go permanent within few months. 1) Rating is just a number, a person with a poor rating can get better increment than you. Rating has no meaning at BNP and there is no base to decide the same. If you are manager's fav, you get the best ;) 2) Irresponsible and Irresponsive HR - despite multiple follow ups, it is impossible to reach out to them. (Maybe they are busymaking Rangolis) 3) Promotion : No policy for Promotion. Keep struggling and fighting with the Management & HR , then eventually you end up leaving the organisation. Every appraisal cycle they've different excuses to stop you from promoting. Oh ya again, promotion is just a word, it doesn't impact your increment. Maybe by just 2-3% 4) Inspite of a high attrition rate - Management still doesn't know how to retain ppl! I wish they had some sense towards employees who are loyal and hardworking, because the ones who are promoted are the most lazy people of the team, again, favouritism Darling! 5) Put down your paper, fight for a good hike & promotion, and Voila - Leave the organisation once you have everything :) 6) Always been given false commitment about promotion, and same excuse for not giving a good hike - "Got less in my kitty this year" 7) Last one. Females who've been on maternity for 6 months during the applicable appraisal cycle also gets promoted (deserves a big and loud clap) How & Why?
