I was probably oldest employee - joined in early years of blockwiz. It has been certainly a tough decision to part ways and go for higher studies. I truly enjoyed my work at Blockwiz - and I really cant say that for any other employer. This is mostly due to a supportive manager and team who always had my back. I am forever greatfulto the management for hiring and promoting me the same year. and also for the company to give me the option to take a sabattical when my health was an issue. - I wish we had a office and not only WFH. But I think we may have soon but I dont know really. - I also wish I joined one year later because management improved since early part of blockwiz (i was one of the oldest employees) - Seen blockwiz grow from 10 to 60 people and sometimes more fun at work will also be needed - I wanted to see more activities, trips and fun fridays which are actually fun

- So many times my blame was taken by manager which I never saw anywhere else - Manager is understanding and team bonding in marketing is very strong - Got promoted junior to exec which I liked that company saw and rewarded - WFH and flexible location is good. I work from Goa also many times

- Learning can be faster with more recognition - Top management needs to look into daily hard work of executives more - more paid vacations. - Sometimes company is too ambitious and forgets roots - training and knowledge transfer during joining can be improved. had to learn asking questions from manager

Unlimited incentives. Flexibility to pitch like I want on sales calls. Good company culture. Company goa trip was really good.

Dislikes

Lot of data to be recorded of every sales call becomes difficult sometimes and hope management takes note of this. Sales team reports to top management who should spend more time listening to concerns and queries.

Got free training by manager on UI/UX. Very good team and good room to learn. I also liked offsite idea in Goa. Working remotely cannot see the team but good to see everyone. Hope to get more such offsites. Industry is also very different and room to grow quickly. When I joined I was not sure about the company and if I can learn designing in crypto world. But thanks to good manager I thank lucky stars. I leave the company only because of health reasons but will recommend to any young designer specially....Read More

Design team should be given laptop. My personal laptop was slow and it gets difficult to wait for large files and also slow internet. So my humble request to management is to give laptop. Other than that also more offsite and meeting options for team.

Great people, at least when I was there. Don't know about now.

Dislikes

Zero job security, especially if you are a medium to high cost resource. Hiring and firing happens on whims of CEO and politics of managers. No management presence, leave alone being helpful, with work but will scrutinize results even when they themselves don't know what is and isn't. Wouldn't recommend joining at any position, especially when you can be laid off within weeks of starting.

The only thing to like about working fod Blockwiz was the fully remote job model. Remember that I mentioned 'only thing' at the start of my sentence.

Well, this will be interesting. First things first, calling Blockwiz a company is an insult to the word 'company'. It's a parody of a company, to be precise. Initially, everything felt hunky-dory like it does in other companies. However, when things went south, they went Southernmost down. During my tenure, we never got a proper manager to manage us as a team. Instead, we were managing ourselves, and that too quite decently. Gradually when the CEO started micromanaging the processes, it all became too overwhelming. People were hired and fired for fun. A sort of insecurity creeps in when you start learning about adverse events that unfold in the company. Although, I, along with my teammates, were hopeful that things would get better as we were doing our best to keep the boat sailing. No appreciation came our way, and only mere forced mentions happened when other departments pointed out some things in our favour. There's a difference between acknowledgment and appreciation, and I prefer the former over the latter but sigh, that also didn't come my or my team's way. There's a lot to dislike about Blockwiz. In a nutshell, everything is so hyped up due to the crypto blockchain domain. CEO is a master of crafting his words and would sell you dreams like hotcakes and then dump you in the bin just like that, as if you're a rotten egg. A piece of simple advice to seeking a job in Blockwiz - DON'T fall in the trap of working remotely or for a crypto agency because it's just a sham.
