BDL is a place where you can explore the area's which you haven't even think off or imagine off See BDL isn't the place where everyone can score a job it's a central government firm to get a job (permanent) you need to go through some standard exams like GATE as a mechanical engineer all my bachelor's degree is thought me about production,design and maintenance that's it ,but when you get to see and work in these kind of huge enterprise you get to know that a mechanical engineer can go into many fields like we have production planning department, material management department, warehouse department ( i mean we have these subjects too in our UG but no company would advertise these areas to make career in , only with experience we get to know about these fields ) we can build our career in these fields as well What I meant to say is GRADUATE APPRENTICESHIP is not a job it's simply a training but it'll enlightens you to choose your career in which you want to build your future It has enlightened me may be your too but not everyone's My sincere advise is if anyone want to do masters or want to have some industrial exposure do apprenticeship here at BDL if you get a chance This apprenticeship is not for someone who's really seeking for serious jobs better you guys can skip this offer coz you don't get a job here even though you work for one year To get a permanent job you need to clear standard exams as I told earlier Even to get a contract based job you need to have 2-3 years of practical experience in core field ( apprenticeship doesn't considered as a practical experience it's just a training ) And you don't get to choose in which department you want to work for, I was lucky I got what am seeking for, but lots of people won't get that Example:- a mechanical engineer gets deployed in finance department....Read More

It's not use no matter how hard you work they will recruit only ladies and no support for hardworkers for apprentices for next role promotions after you completed a term of work. Steady & peaceful life. Job Security Defence Industry, working with missiles & explosive components - a rare opportunity For enthusiastic persons, lot of scope to learn about electronics, defense systems and explosives. Very strong order book.

Very slow career growth & reservation for promotions. Less increments. Increments will never beat inflation. CTC 12LPA but take home including all allowances is around 55k per month. Increment per year is Rs. 1200 + DA of Rs.2000. Old fashioned work culture, no mobile phone or internet is allowed inside. Very difficult to bring even a small change in work procedure & culture.
