I had a difficult experience working at Appinventiv. While the company presents a strong image on social media, the reality of the work environment does not always align with those portrayals.
Work-life balance is a significant challenge, with expectations that often extend beyond reasonable working hours. The internal work culture can be highly political, which makes it difficult for employees who want to be recognized purely on the basis of their work.
Additionally, the policies regarding employee breaks and working hours feel overly strict, sometimes leading to unnecessary stress. A more employee-friendly approach, with fair recognition and flexibility, would greatly improve the overall experience.

Working at Appinventiv has been one of the most disappointing experiences of my career. My time here was short, but that was due to their hire-and-fire culture and the unprofessionalism of managers and coordinators. Here are the key concerns I faced:
Toxic Management â Leadership is completely disconnected from employees, relying onintimidation, micromanagement, and public humiliation as management tactics. Feedback holds no value, creating a hostile work environment where employees constantly feel uncertain about their job security.
Unrealistic Expectations â Employees are overburdened with unattainable targets and tight deadlines, with little to no support. Burnout is the norm, not the exception. Managers and coordinators fail to communicate realistic timelines to clients, leaving employees to deal with unrealistic demands.
Favoritism and Office Politics â Promotions and recognitions have nothing to do with performance but instead depend on personal favoritism and office politics. Shockingly, employees placed on Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) or removed from projects are still receiving awards at company events.
Lack of Transparency â Company policies change without notice, leaving employees in constant uncertainty. Decisions affecting employees are made in secrecy, with zero communication from leadership.
Unethical Practices â Employees are often put in situations where they are expected to mislead clients and misrepresent data to meet company goals. Ethical concerns are completely disregarded.
No Career Growth â Training, mentorship, and career development do not exist. Employees are seen as expendable resources rather than assets worth investing in.
Hostile Work Environment â Office gossip, cliques, and backstabbing are rampant, while HR does little to address these toxic behaviors. Complaints are ignored or, worse, result in retaliation.
Deceptive Policies â The company manipulates its policies to serve its own interests. For example, employees are initially told that the notice period is one month, but when they attempt to resign during probation, it suddenly becomes two months. This inconsistency causes unnecessary distress.
Additionally, daily work status reports are unfairly rejected just to cut employee pay, regardless of whether they have actually worked or not. This level of pettiness is beyond comprehension.
Let me start by addressing the toxic leadership and unethical hiring practices.
Hiring & Firing Culture: Iâve seen employees who joined just 3-4 months ago being fired simply because the company no longer has ârequirementsââeven though these were skilled, meritorious individuals. The company indulges in ghost hiring just to boost its social media presence and create an illusion of growth. Once theyâve milked enough money from clients, employees are discarded like they were never needed.
Zero Job Security: No matter how hard you work, you could be out the door any dayânot because of performance, but because the company has no long-term vision and hires impulsively without proper workforce planning.
Leave Policy is a Joke: The leave policies are nothing but a trapâdesigned to deduct salaries rather than provide any real work-life balance.
Micromanagement at Its Worst: Every single task is excessively monitored, and even a 5-minute break is considered a loss to the company. Employees are treated as machines, not humans.
HR is Completely Useless: No matter what issue you raise, HR will either ignore it or side with management. They conveniently break their own policies whenever it suits their agenda, protecting those with political influence while leaving others helpless.
If you donât fix these core issues, this company will remain a revolving door of hiring, exploiting, and firing. Instead of spending money on fake employer branding, try building an actual ethical workplace where employees feel valued.
Advice to the CEO:
If you truly want to improve this company, start by addressing the toxic leadership. The Delivery Managers and Project Coordinators are doing nothing but micromanaging, exploiting employees, and creating a hostile work environment. Instead of focusing on actual productivity, they engage in unethical salary deductions just to satisfy their own egos.
The Basement BU XCHNG is a prime example of this dysfunctionâitâs a mess, and you need to start fixing it from there.
Ask yourself:
Why is there such a high attrition rate?
Why are employees constantly put on immediate PIPs or fired without warning?
Why does no one want to work under these managers?
People arenât leaving without a reason. If you donât address these core issues, this cycle of toxic leadership and high turnover will never end.
