As I write this review, the company is closed due to lockdown. The company has already made precautions regarding pandemic. As the first case of Covid-19 declared in our state, the company gave us awareness about the seriousness of the issue through verbally and by other means. Even the screen saver of systems reminded us the same. T he company has arranged sanitizers and handwashes in various parts of the plants, even from entrance gate. The security guards at the entrance have given temperature measuring instruments to check out the sick persons. Those who affected any kind of fever strongly recommended to stay home. In the canteen, the canteen workers supplied food wearing hand gloves and masks. Early, we could take food as much as we want by hand, later it prohibited. But, the most achievable thing that company can claim is that, they made a complete awareness of the issue among employees by taking these micro level safety measures....Read More

I'm working at Apollo tyres as a Graduate Apprentice trainee. The bad side is that, according to the position I behold, I'm getting no worthy works/tasks. The task given is to do machine drawing in AutoCAD (The only one job that B.Tech can match) and some paper works , checking quotations and bills etc. In my department, I'm the only one apprentice trainee who have the privilege to use AutoCAD. Other guys are given some kind of 'kooli' jobs. What we can do here is observing and studying the works of engineers and study machine parts and elements, different material etc. But, these scope is limited to gain as we are not directly involving in to the core jobs. So, studying the things we can learn in our limit can be learned in less than or equal to 6 months, the remaining 6 months is about waste. Even, the guys working inside the plant will not get any minute without calls from different sides to bring that item, to complete check list, to write what they say, to clean that, to do one thing that no else like to blah...blah... And at the end, the will be completing a year useless....Read More

I work here as Graduate Apprentice Trainee. I'm designated as draftsman in engineering department. I draw machine parts in AutoCAD and the approved drawing is used for further works.

The work life at Apollo tyres for an apprentice trainee is excellent. My daily shift at the company starts at 9 am and ends at 5pm. The day to day activities include mainly working on computer system and helping the technical staffs with their duties. By working at a renowned company like Apollo we can learn many things which include manpower handling, shift duties and Tyre manufacturing in detail....Read More

What I mainly dislike about Apollo tyres is that their workload upon the workers. The company has decided to decrease the number of permanent employees and in place of their position, they are putting in contract employees. They are doing this so that only a minimum amount of age shall be given to the contract employees rather than t he permanent employees....Read More

Am a graduate apprentice at Apollo tyres. Am working in the mechanical maintenance department. We take a regular checklist regarding some variable factors which directly or indirectly influences the proper working of a machine.

As a apprentice trainee I am getting many opportunities to mold my career as a professional. I am very happy to recommend the young enthusiast to join our firm.

Dislikes

The shift arrangement is little bit confused in the earlier stage. But now I am okay with it. One of the major struggle for the officers is the difficulty of handling work pressure.
