We get encouraged for the new innovations but only you have to do if you told if you are innovative that too after office hours. GETs from big colleges are treated well where as experienced employees are treated badly you won't even get a single good notebook on the day of joining
Higher management is good in communication. But most of the people who are leading the projects so called Slave worker in terms of project management are so egoistic even there communication is so poor,and they do not deserve the leadership qualities but company has made them leaders because they have experience in the same company,they work 14 hours a day and same they expect. They don't have life after office and already mentally exhausted. It's so annoying and toxic, i got sick because I worked morning 9 to night 12 for new days. I will personally suggest you to never ever join this organization if you want a good carrier ahead, because the management people over hear are only to spoil your carrier if you once open up your mouth even though its for the wellbeing of the organization or project.

In this role I had very good work life balance and got lot of learnings. I was never worried about getting lynched from company as Railways is a very stable business.
The salary's were never on par with industry. Tendency is to not to promote and there is no long term vision. And the promotions are never based on the skill/merit but based on who cries loud.

1. People looking for genuine growth with managers support and guidance don't join here. Managers attitude is "you will be okay until you work according to them else Don't know you at all they will put you under the bus anytime". 2. Performance Review is namesake to show your failure only HR is let down, employee themself do more HR job than HR themself... Complete failure I would say plus should bare with their cold attitude. 3. Even if you are not assigned work neither Manager nor HR is bothered only they will react if you yourself flag but the response would be you are incapable of doing your job and will be transferred to role which is neither matching your profile nor they will discuss with you. 4. Most important if you don't have choice other than joining company always ask for job description in written even get it signed by reporting manager as role what you get is entirely different than your experience ex in case you go to HR on role explanation reply will be "you should even be ready to take printout for your manager" 5. Let down for women employee as they will be sidelined for growth by commenting "You will not be available after working hours" or Will give work exactly at 6 PM or will ask to stay beyond working hours to give some update. If you resist be ready for constant comment in every team meetings by making them feel guilty for giving priority for personal commitment after working hours.
