persons like Hem Chand - the worst manager i have ever seen. Hem Chand became manager just because he is favorite to Kartik and he always resign and Kartik retain him. by doing these tricks he became Sr. Manager. i have serious concern about his leadership style and work practices. 1. Authoritarian Leadership : Hem Chand consistently exhibits a "dictator" approach, making decisions without consulting to team or considering input from employees. this has created an uncomfortable and stifling work environment. 2. favoritism : Hem Chand appears to favor certain employees, who are treated as "puppets" disregarding other's opinion and contribution. this had led to lack of fairness and team cohesion. 3. Lack of knowledge : Hem Chand demonstrate limited knowledge in area that are critical to role , leading to poor decision making and ineffective guidance to team. this undermines others ability to work efficiently and accomplish tasks properly. 4. Over-reliance on AI Tools : Hem Chand frequently uses AI tools like ChatGPT to generate responses and solution for work related tasks, rather than providing informed guidance based on their own knowledge and experience. This reliance on technology undermines the leadership role and reduce the quality of decision being made. 5. Data Privacy Concerns : By using ChatGPT and similar AI tools, Hem Chand is inadvertently creating serious data privacy issues. these tools might be processing confidential company data or personal information, which can potentially breach company's data privacy policy and put company at risk of legal and security consequences....Read More

I wish I had something to like about Airtel Africa, it was a mistake joining this organisation even after going through Glassdoor and Ambition box ratings. Platforms like Ambition box and Glassdoor should introduce zero or negative ratings for such companies.
1) Less capable people in higher positions. 2) Complete "Lala" culture, micromanagement at it's peak. 3) Politics and toxicity is at the next level, so if you are not good enough dealing with these two atrocities then don't join, trust me and thank me later. 4) HR doesn't have any say, there's absolutely no attention to employee welfare, they dance on the tunes of management. I remember my exit interview where the HR took pride in providing such trying circumstances to survive, said if you can survive here, you can survive anywhere, I wasn't shocked because I was accustomed to being shocked during my tenure. 5) You have to come to office on 5 days even if someone in your family died, for HR and managers it's an excuse irrespective of whether it is genuine reason. 6) Pay structure is designed such that your variable gets paid out once in a year, if you quit before that time, you don't get anything. 7) Job security is an issue, the sword is always hanging on top of your shoulder. I can go on and on, this place literally played with my psyche and emotional and physical well being, people at the higher positions lack professionalism and will say anything that comes to mouth, so if you're familiar with such culture and comfortable then only consider joining. Arguably the worst organisation to work in considering there are no employee benefits other than a postpaid sim card that comes with a max limit. Coming to cons, I can mention end number of them but let's settle at a few: 1) Horrible culture that starts with micromanagement and ends with calls on Sunday morning with commands (not requests) to work on random issues and requirements. 2) No one cares about quality of development and wants features to be delivered within hours without proper testing and release plan. 3) Every team faces comparison from other teams despite the fact that actual problem lies in the senior officials who work like daily wage workers. 4) Flexibility - what is that? You get paid to come 5 days in office and spend 9 hours daily without expecting a single moment of gratitude. 5) Every small request is met with personal comments/insults by HR and managers who have teamed up to make every employee's life a living hell. 6) They can't fix a coffee machine and that's why we cannot expect a working infra either which has zero support for developers. 7) Pollution, rain, earthquake, fire or tornado should not stop you from arriving into office to earn the daily wage. List is huge but will mention main points only. 1. No flexibility of WFH or hybrid and you have to come 5 days to office. 2. If you are living in Noida or Noida office is near to you then also you have to travel 3 hours to come to office in gurgaon to satisfy HR/Management egos. 3. I have worked with some really great people who have excellent technical expertise. There are teams where good work culture is maintained. Office is in a mall, lot of fancy shops and restaurants.
Imagine the worst parts of every manager you’ve ever had, rolled into one glorious trainwreck of a human being, who has an ego of a Death Star. This dude couldn’t debug a prod issue but struts around like he’s Silicon Valley’s gift to humanity. A cowardly backstabber who thinks he’s Steve Jobs. He gives out raises and remote work like candy to his loyal minions, expecting them to grovel at his feet. A charming mix of insecurity and favoritism. Picture a guy who’s as two-faced as a coin, but less useful. Hikes and work-from-home perks are reserved exclusively for his personal fan club—the ones who’ve mastered the art of brown-nosing and boot-kissing. It’s less about performance and more about servitude. If you’re not bending over backwards to inflate his already oversized ego, forget about any perks. He’s the micromanagement maestro, obsessing over every minor detail like a boomer on steroids. Not only is he tracking every single leave you take, but he’s also got a whole spreadsheet dedicated to it. And come month-end, he’s right there, spamming your inbox with reminders. Ignore him, and he’ll go ahead and apply the leaves himself. It’s like he’s got this pathological need to control even the smallest aspects of your work life. He’s got a calendar with everyone’s lunch and coffee breaks marked on it, too. In his mind, this is what makes him a ‘good manager.’ It’s like he’s got this desperate need to control every tiny detail, probably because it’s the only thing he can actually handle. Not content with just being an incompetent micromanaging backstabber, he’s also a master of psychological warfare. This genius has a brilliant strategy to ‘motivate’ his team: he loves to crank up the pressure to 11 and then threaten to put people on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) if they don’t dance to his tune. He never throws a party, but boy, does he show up to yours and eat all the expensive stuff. It’s like inviting a black hole to your buffet.
